Lynn M. Schuchter, MD is the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine’s C. Willard Robinson Professor of Hematology/Oncology, she also serves as the Chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology, a role she has held since 2007. She is the Director of the Tara Miller Melanoma Center at the Abramson Cancer Center. Dr. Schuchter is a recognized expert in the field of melanoma, her clinical and clinical research career has concentrated on the development of new treatments for patients with melanoma. Dr. Schuchter has a strong commitment to and passion for mentorship, especially women. She has shown by example and through her leadership to promote and pave the way for women at Penn and for women and men in oncology, and has a proven record of training physicians and scientists interested in both translational and clinical oncology research, with a particular interest in the mentorship of junior faculty. In 2019, she was awarded ASCO’s Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Award in recognition of her long standing commitment to mentorship.
