Dr. Chenghao Zhu ’s research focuses on integrating genomic, transcriptomic, and mass spectrometry-based proteomic data to better understand cancer biology and identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. He develops computational methods to characterize the cancer proteome, with a particular emphasis on the “dark proteome”, previously uncharacterized proteins and peptides arising from genetic, transcriptomic, and translational alterations. His research aims to uncover hidden molecular features of cancer and advance precision oncology.
