Denise Roberts' Bio
Denise Roberts serves as the Deputy Director of Administration of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Cancer Center. She received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in biochemistry and molecular biology, and performed postdoctoral studies with Robert Horvitz at MIT and Richard Roberts at CSHL. She then transitioned into research administration with a role as a Project Leader and then Head of the High-Throughput Screening Facility at OSI Pharmaceuticals. In 2000, she was recruited back to CSHL to lead the Cancer Center Administration. Her role has grown significantly over the last twenty years. She successfully led the renewal of three CCSG renewal submissions with Bruce Stillman as Director, and helped ease the transition of David Tuveson into his role as the new Cancer Center Director. In her current role, she works with the Cancer Center Director, three Deputy Directors, and the CSHL Institutional administration to promote cancer research, to ensure that Cancer Center members are able to perform state-of-the-art cancer research, to manage and oversee the Cancer Center Shared Resources, and to fulfill the requirements of the CCSG.
