Before joining Sanford Burnham Prebys, John worked as a Research Fellow at the Eskitis Institute for Drug Discovery, Brisbane, Australia. He received his PhD in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University, and completed his postdoc at the University of Pittsburgh.
John works in the Prebys Center and specializes in developing ambitious and highly innovative cell-based drug screening assays with a background in malaria, cystic fibrosis, ion channels, and GPCRs, among others.
